Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. Israelensis (Bti) is a bacterium which occurs naturally in the environment. The Bti has been used for the spread of mosquito-borne diseases control since man first found it. It has a highly specific mode of action and effectively kills mosquito larvae. The parasporal crystal of Bti is the main insecticidal substance. After the mosquito larvae feed it, the parasporal crystal degrades and has a toxin active molecules binding to specific receptors under the action of intestinal alkaline brothers and special protease in the intestinal membrane, thus leading the insects to death due to poor feeding, paralysis, bowel perforation, hunger and sepsis. Bti will not provide extended control and re-treatment is required to control subsequent larval development.
Biokiller® Bacillus thuringiensis (Israel subspecies) is a pathogenic microorganism isolated and selected in nature, which has a control effect on mosquito larvae. This product is produced by biological fermentation technology and is currently the most widely used microbial insecticide, which can effectively control the harm of mosquito larvae.

Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis (B.t.i) is one of the most widely used microbial mosquitocides in the world. The mechanism of B.t.i is as follows: the active ingredients (Insecticidal Crystal Proteins, ICP) can release poisonous titanium by decompounding under alkaline condition and enzymolysis of protease in the larval midgut, which would lead to the paralysis of larval and destroy the balance of kalium ions. It has good effect on the larval of Culex, Aedes, Anopheles, Mansonia and Black fly, etc.
