The active ingredient of PrGV.Bt biological pesticide is PrGV (pieris rapae granulosis virus) and Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis). PrGV is a low-toxic, obligate insecticidal thorn of microbial origin. It is a non-pollution biological pesticide, mainly for gastric toxicity.
| ICAMA REG.NO. | PD20120875 |
|---|---|
| Brand name | Unioasis |
| Active ingredient | PrGV+Bt |
| Formulation | SC/WP |
| Active ingredient content |
1) SC: 10 million PIB/mg PrGV+0.2% Bt 2) WP: 10000 PIB/mg PrGV+16000IU/mg Bt |
| Protect objects | Vegetables |
| Active pests | Plutella xylostella, cabbage worm, Spodoptera exigua, corn borer, Soybean-Pod-Borer |
After insects feed the pesticide, Bacillus thuringiensis first acts on insect midgut cells, reducing the insect's immune system and making it more susceptible to PrGV infection. The PrGV then enters the body and undergoes bulk replication, rapidly spreading throughout the pest's body. The pests lose their ability to harm crops and eventually die as their bodies liquefy. The PrGV continues to infect healthy pests and subsequent generations through body fluids and feces of dead insects, creating a worm plague effect that provides long-term pest control.
- Obtains organic certification and leaves no pesticide residue
- Pests develop no resistance to the virus, ensuring long-term effectiveness
- Continuous use three to four times effectively controls initial population numbers of cabbage worm and diamondback moth
- Eco-friendly, safe for crops, and harmless to humans and animals
- Particularly effective against spodoptera litura and pod borer
- Rapid action - insects are poisoned and stop feeding within 4 hours, preventing crop damage
- Long-lasting effect - PrGV transmits horizontally and vertically through pest populations, sustaining efficacy for up to 10 days and controlling next-generation pest population density
When consuming vegetables that often require minimal processing, such as salads and sushi, product quality and safety requirements must be stringent. Chemical pesticides have strong toxicity, and even after washing, residues can remain in vegetables and fruits. Long-term consumption of produce containing chemical pesticides affects human health. Biopesticides contain no chemical additives, are manufactured using all-natural processes, and are harmless to crops, ensuring food safety from the source. With the growing emphasis on green and non-pollution concepts, bio-pesticides have become the optimal choice for implementing green control in modern agriculture.
