On the afternoon of January 18, 2024, Wang Renyuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission, and a delegation accompanied by Wang Chong, County Magistrate of Chun'an County, visited the Qiandao Lake Insect Science Popularization Museum in Wenping Village, Wenchang Town (Hangzhou Vector Biological Control Practice Teaching Base) for on-site research.
Chen Jiao, Executive Director and Base Operations Manager of Wuhan University & Wuhan Unioasis Joint R&D Center, and Zhang Guifeng, Base Operations Director, reported to Director Wang and his team on the basic situation, current operational status, and future development direction of the base.
The Qiandao Lake Insect Science Popularization Museum is the core of the Hangzhou vector biology control practice teaching base. It is a comprehensive science popularization museum that is jointly constructed by Wenping Village and Wuhan Unioasis under the technical guidance of the Love and Health Office of Hangzhou City and Chun'an County. It is specifically operated by Wuhan Unioasis and integrates insect and vector biology science popularization, research, teaching, and practice. It is the first practical training base in China to use Wenping Village(one of the first model villages for vector based biological control in Zhejiang Province) as a whole area for vector biological control teaching. At the same time, it has introduced the green vector prevention and control concept of Wuhan Unioasis with microbial technology as the core. The base has become a window for external exchanges and a forefront for promoting vector based green prevention and control in Chun'an County. Currently, it has undertaken the training and evaluation of vector monitoring teams for the Asian Games in the whole city, obtained the titles of county science popularization base and research base, it is also an ecological civilization relay station, and a model for common prosperity and healthy Hangzhou.
Under Director Chen's report, Director Wang learned that there are already good biological prevention and control methods for vector organisms. For example, cockroaches can be controlled using cockroach virus bait, mosquito larvae can be controlled using mosquito viruses and bacteria, and mice can be controlled using cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), providing an effective solution for future green prevention and control of vector organisms.

In October 2018, Lin Chunhong, the president of Wuhan Unioasis, was invited to attend the SCO summit in China (Qingdao). As the only enterprise representative, he made a report entitled "Wuhan Unioasis contributes to the great agricultural development of SCO countries", and put forward the concept of "double reduction and double saving", which was deeply concerned by participants from different countries. In June 2019, he was invited to attend the inaugural meeting of "International Ecological Community Alliance Life Community" held at the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He made a report on "being an ecological restorer in the ecosystem", which proposed to solve the problems of agricultural non-point source pollution and reducing agricultural residues of agricultural products by using microbial technology to improve soil and restore ecology, so as to lay the theoretical foundation and practical scheme of harmonious coexistence between human and nature.
In November 2020, Wuhan Unioasis won the title of "Top Ten Brand Enterprises of Biological Pesticides and Biological Control" issued by the "Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation of Biological Pesticides and Biological Control Industry" established by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. In December 2020, Wuhan Unioasis won the title of "Top Twenty of Biological Agriculture" issued by the 2020 International Agricultural Food Top 100 Future · Baima Summit (IFA2020). In 2021, at the 12th China (Pingyi) Honeysuckle Industry Development Summit, Wuhan Unioasis signed a contract with Jiujianpeng Group to jointly build a "botanical hospital of traditional Chinese medicine".
