There is a virus that is saving humanity
After three years of epidemic, there is another contribution to humanity in the story behind the heroic city of Wuhan - insect viruses. As an important member of microbial pesticides, they play an important role in the green prevention and control system. This is attributed to Academician Gao Shangyin of Wuhan University, who returned to China to study viruses after graduating with a PhD from Yale University in 1935, providing scientific basis for biological control.
In 1947, he established China's first virology research laboratory.

In 1964, he founded the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In 1978, he founded the first virology major in Chinese universities and approved the establishment of the first virology department in universities.
Wuhan Unioasis Biological Technology Group Co., Ltd. was co-founded by experts and professors from Wuhan University in 2002. On August 24, 2006, China's first biological virus TC, 100 million pieces/mg Pieris rapae granulosis virus, obtained the official "Pesticide Registration Certificate" issued by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China, opening the door to the "Chinese biological virus application industry".
